Great Expectations…

Hmmm, went to see Revenge of the Sith last night. The film was ok, the plot was good (could have been better), but the reviews were right, the script and the direction really did let it down.

One thing I did see yesterday which I really, really (can’t stress that enough) enjoyed was the season 5 finale of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. It was a double feature, written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. Very good story and let’s just say the Tarantino Autopspy is a sight to be seen… 🙂

Experimentation

Hmmm, well permalinks finally work around these parts. As do comments.

Seems my WordPress style from before was lacking in features slightly. Hence I’ve been back to Alex King’s WordPress Style Collection to see what’s on offer. I found a few themes I liked, so bare with me while I decide between the 8 I’ve installed to experiment with. Perhaps I’ll end up hacking together something unique with a few inspirations from a few of them. After June 1st of course.

So, anything newsworthy? Hmmm, college lectures are finally over. The Trinity Ball was last Fri night. Ciara and I went to it after having an interesting dinner in Tante Zoe’s. I don’t really have any photos, but I do intend ditching my current Gallery for Flickr, just as soon as it’s client stops segfaulting on me…

Since then I’ve only done effectively 2 things (well 3 if you count getting distracted… 🙂 build my fileserver and while it’s working away, study like mad since my exams start on the 23rd.

So far, the fileserver is running nicely, consisting of:

Then just add a Gigabit card and a reliable O/S and off I go…

As for my study, hmmm… Let’s just say Prolog and I are not getting along too well…

Must Stop Fidgeting…

Yep. That time of the year again, exams coming soon, revision required, so this is the obligitary blog hacking time of year.

Upgraded to WordPress 1.5, migrated blog over to a new home, etc. Some things are probably broken, others I never really tried to setup when I first started using WordPress. I’m sure I’ll start fixing stuff in the the following days, when I probably shouldn’t be…

Since I’m cleaning up my site, things on the To Do list include using Flickr to manage photo gallery (when combined with iPhoto) and other long put off tasks like proper, working permalinks and my old MT archives (probably involve writing a MT mysqldump –> MT export format script).

Curse you Nóirín, you and your WordPress style hacking!! It’s what started this surge of website activity…
