Out Of The Blue…

Published by conall at 0:20 under Personal, Work

A few weeks ago, I encountered a flier around the house about a a competition from Vodafone and The Mentor on RTÉ for business mentoring sessions on a list of preset topics (8 or 10 topics available, with instructions to choose 3 preferred topics). I decided to give it a try, figuring nothing would come of it and my highly tuned SpamAssassin setup would pick off any spam sent my way as a result of supplying one of my email addresses. So I forgot all about it.

I got a very unexpected email today. It seems I am one of the winners. So I should have a mentoring session in a few weeks time. Should be interesting and the timing is quite nice as well. :)

In other news, the light of the real world drew closer after my second exam today. So far, I’m happy with how they have gone. Once I get past Wednesday, things will get much easier, since I’ve a 12 day gap until my final exam and will actually be reacquinted with concepts known as sleep and “the lie in”… :)

Congratulations Conall, nice one! But does this mean you’re going to be appearing on the next series of The Mentor or is this something different?

    Thanks.

Not if I’ve any say about it. From the details I’ve been given, I don’t think so, merely with a business adivory company.
